Polly Want a Mosaic?

A few weeks ago, Hans Demol (hd_lego) sent me a link to a parrots mosaic done by Maarten Steurbaut, a fellow member of his LUG in Belgium (BeLUG).  He thought it impressive, and I do too. 

Here is a picture he took of it at BrickMania Wetteren 2012, where you can see it in the background.  It looks crisp and clear from across a large room:
