Woah, there!!

Flickr user, andy_0306uk created a really cool mosaic that reminded me of a post early on in the blog, kind of. He made this great black and white Optical Illusion Mosaic, and its really quite stunning.

The Superbowl #45!

Alas, the dust has settled, the threats of whose team is better are over, the reviews of that horrendous sad excuse for a halftime show are out!, and the actual National Anthem lyrics are being googled.

Apparently, Henchman #21 created a little series of mini mosaics on a 48x48 baseplate and posted it Saturday. Just in case you're not sure, it contains a NFC division, a AFC division, a Superbowl 45 logo, a Packers logo, and a Steelers logo.

Flickr user, mandy314, creates the very gloomy, and sad donkey from Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore. What I really like about the mosaic, is that there is a great use of color going on here.

'Tis the Season to visit Dentist!

Put on your Halloween costume and head out to collect succulent amounts of dentist drawing delights! It's that time of year for carving pumpkins and watching the Charlie Brown Halloween special! A time of Lego mosaics!

I've collected five great Halloween mosaics from across the web and assembled them for a very special MosaicBricks Halloween post.

First up, we have a double feature from eilonwy77 (Katie Walker). Two cheese slope mosaics, one a neat little spider on top, and a cool jack-o-lantern on the bottom.



Second, we have a scary face with a ton of different colors by DJ Baggadonuts.

Third, we have another mosaic by DJ Baggadonuts that will forever haunt me. ;-D



Fourth, we have a very creepy mosaic from the "Phantom Zone from the Superman I/Superman II films". Regardless, it's an awesome zombie looking mosaic built by Reasonably Clever Chris (Doyle)

Lastly we have our fifth, and final mosaic of the post. Frankenstein's monster, forever haunted by fire, is built beautifully in a cool technique in which you built SNOT vertically and horizontally at the same time. It looks awesome! Built by Legohaulic.

Blahhhh...Coffee!

I'll be honest. I hate coffee! The smell, the taste, the look...everything. But! MOCpages user, SherryCayHeyHeyHey is working on a big 96x96 Lego Mosaic of a certain coffeehouse chain. It could just change my mind...



It's only one-fourth of the way done, but we will continue to follow its development! Pretty neat!

Ow...my head hurts!

Flickr user, eilonwy77, creates a mind boggling black and white labyrinth. Start in the center (the loop outside of the 2x2) and see if you can find your way out of the maze (I would suggest clicking the thumbnail to see a bigger version though.)

Hi there, Papa Smurf!

Brickshelf user, "welshielegos", recreates an 80s cartoon classic by making a Smurf mosaic.

Welshielegos also made a second version, except, in 3-D.

Also, this mosaic comes out at an interesting time because during the previews for Toy Story 3, I saw a trailer for "The Smurfs". Not sure what I think of it. =P
