Some More Transparent Stacking...

Playing off of Katie's last post, Blake Baer recently made a mosaic using the same technique (that is, stacking translucent plates onto each other to form different shades) for his parents' anniversary.

The detail that can be achieved using this is really superb. If you're looking to get into these kind of mosaics, check your local Lego Store as their Pick-A-Brick walls usually feature 1x2s that can be bought for a very cheap price. Best of luck to Blake in the MOCAthalon.
